Davis Love III, a five-time RBC Heritage winner who is now a golf course architect,
went to great lengths to preserve the intent of Pete Dye’s original design, which opened in 1969 on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Guests come to the Pennsylvania resort for its challenging 18-hole layouts, and stay for the array of upgraded amenities.

One hole, a shortish par-3 on the South Course, checks all of the boxes for being what many would consider golf in Hawaii should be.

Though the club opened in 2006, it has only been in recent years, under new ownership, that the gated-community has started blossoming into its expected potential.
