TUBAC, Ariz. (July 28, 2026) – Southern Arizona’s historic Otero Ranch will open Nov. 15, 2026, presented by True Ranch Collection in partnership with Tubac Golf Resort & Spa. Enjoy exclusive dude ranch adventures like horseback riding or hiking amid the lush Santa Cruz River valley, tee off on the resort’s 27-hole championship course, explore the artist town of Tubac or the historic Tumacácori Mission, and relax at a resort reminiscent of a Spanish village with luxurious Southwestern-style lodging, dining and a full-service spa. All-inclusive rates start at $450 per person per night based on double occupancy with a minimum three-night stay required.
“Our recent Otero Pop-Up Ranch was a success thanks in no small part to the beautiful and historic setting that the Tubac Golf Resort & Spa provides,” said Russell True, Managing Partner of the True Ranch Collection. “Along with the resort’s new owners, we’re excited to build on the pop-up and bring something new to Arizona – a boutique dude ranch experience that’s upscale yet traditional. Join us at Otero Ranch and enjoy Tubac’s long-standing ranching culture firsthand.”
Tubac Golf Resort & Spa is a storied home for True Ranch Collection’s newest dude ranch. The Otero family ran cattle on the land for nearly 150 years before Hollywood investors, including Bing Crosby, turned it into a resort in 1959. Today the golf course, made famous by the film “Tin Cup,” plays out against the Santa Rita Mountains
“The Tubac team created something fantastic with the debut of Otero Ranch last season,” said Kuzi Mutsiwegota, Partner at Mountain Capital Partners. “As new owners, our job isn’t to reinvent the resort, it’s to elevate and expand what is already so great. Making Otero Ranch a permanent seasonal experience was one of our first goals, and True Ranch Collection is the ideal operator to get us there. And you don’t have to ride to feel it. Horses in the pasture, riders heading out at first light, the energy carrying across the property, that’s atmosphere you can’t manufacture, and it turns Tubac’s history into something guests live rather than read about. Adding an authentic dude ranch to Tubac’s winter, alongside the spa, dining and championship golf, completes the picture of what this place has always been.”
At the Otero Ranch, guests will enjoy exclusive dude ranch adventures like horseback riding, hiking and 3D archery among the mesquite and cottonwood trees along the Santa Cruz River, playing golf against the backdrop of the Santa Rita Mountains on the resort’s 27-hole championship course, as well as visiting Tubac’s art galleries, museums and unique shops, and the historic Tumacácori Mission. They’re also welcome to relax poolside or at the resort spa.
Cocktail hours and Southern Arizona wine and tequila tastings will offer the opportunity to socialize, and guests will savor the flavors of the Southwest at mealtimes with elevated ranch-style cuisine, breakfast cookouts and sack lunches on the trail, all thoughtfully prepared by the Stables Ranch Grille, the resort’s signature restaurant.
And at the end of each day, they’ll put up their feet in the resort’s warm, peaceful rooms and suites featuring plush leather furnishings, cozy fireplaces and patios overlooking the mountains and golf course.
Stays will be available seasonally from Nov. 15, 2026, through April 30, 2027, and will include lodging at Tubac Golf Resort & Spa, all meals, horseback riding, ranch activities, a daily round of golf, special events and local tours, and use of resort amenities (spa and salon treatments at additional charge with select services offered at a discount for ranch guests).
