Designed by architect Ken Baker of Baker Golf Design, this compelling new short course is slated to open in late 2026. Inspired by the musical wanderers of Scottish folklore, The Piper spans 12 intimate acres within the resort’s existing practice facility. Rather than emphasizing aerial distance, the nine-hole layout values strategy, shotmaking and a creative ground game, with holes ranging from 54 to 122 yards.

What truly sets this venue apart is its integration of modern golf entertainment. Built to transcend traditional day play, the course will be fully illuminated at night, allowing for evening three-hole loops accompanied by music-driven events and casual gatherings.

With multiple food and beverage outlets seamlessly woven into the layout, guests on the clubhouse patio can enjoy a lively social atmosphere while watching the action unfold. This dynamic destination perfectly enhances Legends’ existing stay-and-play experience, which currently boasts five championship courses, spacious villa lodging, and iconic local dining spots.

An unforgettable escape to Wild Dunes Resort near Charleston, South Carolina, balances coastal relaxation with exceptional golf. The perfect day begins at the Boardwalk Inn or Sweetgrass Inn, where guests can catch a breathtaking sunrise on the beach before walking over to the Harbor course.

After grabbing breakfast at Woody’s Eatery, golfers tee off on one of Tom Fazio’s signature early designs. Known for its atmosphere, the Harbor course starts narrow before opening into a player-friendly layout featuring striking views of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Following a morning round, guests can savor pizza at Coastal Crust or explore the scenic island via a rental bike before transitioning to the Links course via a complimentary resort shuttle.

Located just a mile away, the Links layout provides a distinct contrast with its dramatic elevation changes, natural dunes, and salt marshes. The unforgettable finishing stretch forces players to contend with coastal breezes as the final three holes run directly alongside the Atlantic Ocean. This spectacular dual-course itinerary culminates with poolside cocktails and dinner at Coastal Provisions.
